What was studied
Analyses included 392 healthy participants and 84 participants classified with depression. Active engagement included music making and dancing.
What it contributes
The healthy group showed a relationship with the Connor–Davidson resilience measure, but not the Brief Resilience Scale.
Where the evidence stops
The survey is observational and combines different activities. It cannot show that music causes resilience or that community-band participation treats depression.
